Dayna Smith, MD FACOG

Hi, I am Dr. Smith. I am a board-certified ob/gyn physician who practices in Atlanta, GA. Thank you for visiting our site. I received my medical degree from Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York in 1998. I completed my residency at UMDNJ Newark, NJ. After completing my training, I served as an associate professor while at Columbia’s New York Presbyterian Hospital. I then moved to Atlanta, GA, where I currently practice. Having practiced ob/gyn for close to twenty years, I am pleased to say that I have cared for patients from all walks of life and have delivered thousands of babies. I have considered this a privilege and have been honored by the experience.

Over the years, I have grown increasingly uneasy with the misinformation on women’s medical topics founded online. Yet, the popularity of the internet as a resource used by so many women continues to grow. It is for that reason that I started myObMD.org in 2020. myObMD.org is a site focused on providing you accurate, medically sound information on women’s medical topics from puberty to menopause. I have been fortunate to develop a team of like-minded physicians who share my passion for educating women on their health. All the topics on the myobmd.org website are written by physicians caring for women. This allows you to have a real-world application of the information provided. We hope that we will become your trusted online resource for all things women’s medical.

Ms Dunn has been with myObMD.org since inception and serves as Executive Director. Check out most of our physician interview videos, and you will find Ms. Dunn as the interviewer and moderator. She is the oil that keeps this engine running. When she is not busy working with myobmd.org, you may find Ms. Dunn engaged in her favorite pastime of traveling and viewing model homes. We are very fortunate to have her on board.

Lisa-Shephard

Lisa Shephard, MD

Lisa Shephard, MD, originally from Ithaca, NY, has lived her entire life in the Upstate region. She graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Genetics, then attended SUNY Upstate Medical University for her medical training and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Shephard spent two years as a clinical professor at SUNY Upstate Medical Center, training medical students and residents. She then opened her solo OBGYN practice, where she cared for patients until retiring in 2015. Since retirement, Dr. Shephard has worked as a science, health, and medical writer and editor. Her current areas of interest are in preventative care and the practice of a new paradigm for helping women become masters of their physical and mental well-being in the areas of weight control, fitness, nutrition, stress reduction, health, and the mindset to sustain wellness.

Marilyn S. Radke, MD, MPH

Marilyn S. Radke, MD, MPH is board-certified in Preventive Medicine. Dr. Radke completed her residency in Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed a fellowship in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Johns Hopkins University. She worked in public health and general preventive medicine, including maternal and child health and women’s reproductive health. Dr. Radke retired in 2018 from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She authored a monthly health column for NARFE Magazine. Dr. Radke has a Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate from eCornell and T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and is a certified instructor of The Starch Solution from the Dr. McDougall Health and Medical Center. She strives to follow a Whole Food, Plant-Based diet without added Salt, Oil, and Sugar (WFPB SOS) and has taught others how to improve their health by making better food choices.
